Happy New Year everyone.

May there be good tea and good things for all of you.

Anyone find their favourite tea shop over the festive season? If so, let me know.

I like tea and if possible, I'd like it to be loose leaf rooibos in a pot served with milk in a little jug. I'll try and find the places that do this and I'll tell you what they're like. Let me know if you can think of any cafes I haven't covered, I'll get to them if I can.

  1. I am from Australia and recently visited the UK in January! I found a wonderful cafe in Bath with cute pots of tea and a wall full of board games to play with friends. (The tea was 2 pounds per pot which provided 2 full mugs of tea) I can’t recall the name of it and can’t seem to find it through google searches?! Anyway, the place was lovely and we spent a few hours there – very relaxing!

I also visited Harrods and brought home some Earl Grey tea which is beautiful! My only problem now is how to source some more!! May just have to book another holiday!!

    • Thanks for trying to find the details of it, sounds like it would have been lovely! I think booking another holiday is definitely the best way to find Earl Grey tea, but if you really wanted some before then I’m sure there’s an online shop somewhere that would post you some more. What’s the tea like in Australia?

  2. Apologies for the late reply!! There are some great tea shops in Australia, a new chain that has opened up here is T2 and has been growing steadily the past few years – they have a great tea range, even a lot of cold tea’s in all sorts of flavors such as green apple and turkish delight! Tea in the cafe’s do not come out in such cute pots and such as they do in the UK and its quite expensive, about $3.5-$4.5 for a small pot of tea – enough for 2 cups (not mugs of tea). I guess the real issue for tea lovers here is that the weather is too hot to enjoy a hot cup of tea (at the moment anyway)!!
